Rubio Monocoat Pure 2C Oil

We recommend applying Rubio Finishes with our Sia 6" by 9" Non-Woven White Pads for best results. You can use these pads with an orbital sander or by hand to buff the oil in to your work piece.  We use Wypall X60 Shop Towels to wipe away the excess oil.

  • Enhances the natural look and feel of the wood.
  • 0% VOC, does not contain any water or solvents.
  • Easy to maintain.
  • No overlaps or starting marks.
  • Can be applied to all wood types.
  • Very wear-resistant.
  • Water- and heat-resistant, ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Very fast curing: 80% in 2 days.
  • A short ‘dry’ maintenance period: after 5 days, the surface can be cleaned with water and soap.
Coverage:
  • 100ml bottle (Part A Only) = 30 - 50 square feet
  • 350ml can = 115 - 190 square feet
  • 1.3L can = 420 -700 square feet

    Great finish!

    One of my favourite finishes. Quick and easy to apply and holds up well. Does a great job showing the natural wood grain.

    So easy to love this product !

    Used to use multiple layers of polyurethane meticulously applied, sanded and repeat praying for a flawless topcoat. Rubio monocoat provides effortless perfection with 1-2 easily applied coats. A little pricey but ease of use and time saved makes it an easy choice.

    Works great!

    I am new to using Rubio but found it easy to apply and the finish looks great. The Pure slightly darkens the wood but makes light colors richer. Since I have only used it on pieces no bigger than 24” x 48” I applied with a white pad and buffed with a lint free cloth; no mechanical tools used. Despite being “One Coat” it is best to use 2 in case you missed an area. Surprisingly the second coat soaked in almost as much as the first.

    Great product!

    It was the first time using this product and I was really happy with the ease of application and the finished product. I applied it to a walnut table and love the less shiny sheen and durability of the product. Very easy to clean with soap and water on a daily basis from basic everyday dining table use. Love this product and will definitely use it again.

    What can I say, there is a reason why everyone of your favorite wood workers has a bottle or three close by. It’s a little expensive compared to traditional finishes but oh boy is it worth it. Wouldn’t finish without it!
