Epoxy Resin Projects: Mica powder in epoxy resin creates a pearlescent, metallic shimmer effect that can be used in a variety of projects, such as resin turning projects, river tables, charcuterie boards, epoxy lamps, geode art, resin jewelry, 3D photos, pressed flower art, acrylic trays, resin keychains, epoxy art pour paintings, epoxy coasters, and custom countertops. The mica pigments can add a unique shimmer and sparkle to these projects.

Cosmetics: Mica powder is a crucial ingredient in shimmery cosmetic products like eyeshadow, highlight, blush, lip gloss, and nail polish. When mixed with other minerals, it creates products that look great and adhere well to the skin.

Soap Making: Mica works best in transparent soaps like melt and pour. It gives the soap a nice pearlescent effect. However, in cold process soap making, some micas might not work as their colors are sometimes unstable in the high pH of raw cold processed soap. Testing in a small batch first or testing a bit of mica in lye water to see if the color shifts is recommended.

SUGGESTED DOSE:
We suggest a dose of 1/2 teaspoon per 1 litre to achieve maximum effect with these pigments. This is a starting point and can be adjusted to meet your specific color intensity and requirements.
