These kiln-dried ash wood slabs are prepared in-house to make them easy to work with. Each piece is flattened, debarked, and sanded to approximately 80 grit, so most slabs require only light sanding before applying your preferred wood finish.

Ready for Your Next Woodworking Project

We preserve as much natural thickness as possible by planing each slab to approximately 80%. Because these are natural live edge wood pieces, some areas may remain slightly rough and require additional sanding. At least one face of every slab is fully planed to provide a flat, workable surface.

Each piece of ash features its own unique grain pattern, colour variation, live edge, knots, and natural character.

The product photos are representative of the slabs you can expect. Because every piece of wood is unique, the exact slabs you receive will vary. We hand-select slabs before shipping to ensure they meet our quality standards.

Ash has a light natural colour and distinctive grain that comes to life when finished with oil. For charcuterie boards and serving boards, we recommend Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil to enhance the grain while providing a food-safe finish.
