Epoxy Resin Calculator

Jeff Mack Supply · Maker Tools

Epoxy Calculator

Measure your project, get the exact resin you need — litres, the Part A / Part B split, how many pours to plan, and the right kit. Built for river tables, moulds, top coats and void fills.

Measurements

Enter your measurements and the resin estimate will appear here.

How this epoxy calculator works

Deep pours are about volume — the space you fill. The calculator multiplies length × width × depth (or the round-mould equivalent) and converts it to litres. Top coats are about surface area × coat thickness, because you are covering a surface rather than filling a thick void. Either way, a waste buffer is added so cup residue, overflow and small measuring errors don't leave you short. For the full method see our guide on how much epoxy you need and deep pour vs. top coat epoxy.

River tables

Measure only the river channel, not the whole slab. Enter the narrowest and widest points of the channel and the calculator averages them — closer to reality than treating the river as a perfect rectangle.

Deep pours and lifts

Deep pour resin has a maximum single-pour depth. If your pour is deeper than that, the calculator tells you how many separate lifts to plan, each cured to the manufacturer's recoat window.

How do I calculate how much epoxy I need?

Measure length, width and depth of the area you're filling or coating, pick the matching project type above, and the calculator returns the litres required plus a recommended kit.

How much epoxy do I need for a river table?

Multiply the river channel's length by its average width by the pour depth. Use the narrowest/widest fields so the average reflects a natural live edge.

How many pours will a deep project take?

It depends on the resin's maximum pour depth. The calculator divides your total depth by that limit and rounds up to give the number of lifts.

Should I order extra?

Yes — a 10% buffer is a good default. Running out mid-pour is far more costly than a little leftover resin.
