We recommend applying Rubio Finishes with our Sia 6" by 9" Non-Woven White Pads for best results. You can use these pads with an orbital sander or by hand to buff the oil in to your work piece. We use Wypall X60 Shop Towels to wipe away the excess oil.

    Havanna

Another great product from Rubio Monocoat but the colouring on the photo appears to be brown. I used this on a piece of elm and it turned out very grey, not the colour I was hoping for.

    Hey Sean,
Thank you for your purchase. The Havanna 2C Oil is in fact used to get a grey look. The example photo from our website is on white oak so when you apply the oil to another species, you can expect some changes in overall look due to the species and grain in the wood. We hope you are still happy with your purchase.
