Precision Laser-Cut Acrylic Woodworking Templates for Custom Table Legs

Take your DIY projects or woodworking business to the next level with our laser-cut Acrylic Woodworking Templates. Perfect for creating bespoke wooden table legs for dining tables, coffee tables, and benches, these templates ensure precision and consistency in every project.

Our templates are 1/4" thick, ideal for using as a router glide or tracing guide. Made from durable acrylic, they are reusable and suitable for any size woodworking shop.

Each template comes in 8 pieces, employing our unique dovetail locking system for stability and accuracy during the routing process. The clear acrylic allows for perfect placement and detailing on your wood, enhancing the finished product's quality and aesthetics.

For optimal results, we recommend using our Universal Mounting Plates for attaching the legs and our specialized Template Tape to affix our clear templates to your wood piece.

Available Sizes:

Dining Table Template:

  • Template Sku: 08-009

Instructions for Use:

  1. Select the Appropriate Template: Choose the template size that corresponds to your woodworking project.

  2. Attach the Template: Securely affix the clear acrylic template to your wood piece using our recommended Template Tape. Ensure the template is firmly attached to prevent any movement during the routing process.

  3. Initial Routing: Create the primary outline of the table leg by tracing around the acrylic template with a handheld router. This step serves as a guide for the subsequent cutting and trimming steps.

  4. Cut Excess Material: Use a band saw or jig saw to remove the bulk of the excess material, leaving about 1/16" to 1/8" of material. This step makes the subsequent trimming process easier and more efficient.

  5. Trim to Perfect Shape: Use a router table or a handheld router equipped with a flush trim bit to remove the remaining excess material, refining the shape of the table leg to perfectly match the template.

  6. Add Finishing Touches: After achieving the final shape, sand the piece to smooth any rough edges. You may add an edge detail such as a 1/4" round over or a 1/8" bevel, depending on your preference.

  7. Attach the Table Leg: With the table leg ready, use our Universal Mounting Plates to securely attach it to your table or bench.

  8. Repeat for Remaining Legs: Follow the same steps for each table leg, ensuring consistent application of the process to achieve uniformity in all table legs.

Experience the joy of creating your own furniture with our Acrylic Woodworking Templates, designed to make the process easier, more precise, and more enjoyable for you.

Well made template

The template seems well made. My biggest problem is finding a bit that will fit in the tight corners.

We actually launched a youtube video that will explain the best practices for routing all our templates! This should help guide you through the process!

We also have a blog post that is all about using these bits and best practices 'Router Bit Guide : All you need to know'. This will help you determine which bit you need.

However, for the smaller areas we have specifically designed all our templates smaller tight areas to fit using bit 47222-S. As it is a delicate bit, you want to make sure you are only taking off around 1/8' depth at a time and consider reducing your router speed so you aren't burning the bit out. You also want to make sure you are not using any bushing guide on the router bit otherwise it won't fit into these tight areas.

Hope this helps,

Came in a timely manner as I asked since I was on a tight deadline. My project was unusually heavy and didn’t end up using included fasteners as I needed something mor substantial
