Rubio Monocoat
Rubio Monocoat is a plant-based hardwax oil wood finish that is 0% VOC.
Rubio Monocoat oil adheres - within a couple of minutes - to the upper microns in the wood by a strong molecular binding (no film forming, no saturation). This unique technology has set Rubio Monocoat apart from other wood protection products for many years.
We have personally been using Rubio Monocoat for many years on dining tables, restaurant tables, bar tops etc. This is a product that stands the test of time and we are proud to put our name behind this product.

APPLICATION:
1) We sand up to 150 or 180 depending on the piece/application of the piece.
2) Pour oil/hardener mix (3 parts oil:1part hardener) on to work piece and spread with a squeegee or old credit card.
3) Once oil is spread on to all surfaces, use a blue shop towel/rag to aggressively rub oil into wood in small circular motions
4) Wipe off all excess oil until no more oil is coming off the surface
5) If you want to apply a second coat (the second coat will give the piece a , wait 24 hours, sand at 220 and repeat steps 2-5

- Very wear-resistant.
- Water- and heat-resistant, ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.
- Very fast curing: 80% in 2 days.
- A short ‘dry’ maintenance period: after 5 days, the surface can be cleaned with water and soap.
