Application:

Preparing to Pour
It is important that your working area is clean & dry, and free of potential dust and insects. Settling dust or insects can cause blemishes on the glossy surface.
It is also important to make sure your work surface is level to insure that you can fill the void evenly at both ends.

Mixing Instructions:
In a clean, dry container; combine (by volume) 2 parts resin with 1 part hardener, and mix thoroughly for 2 minutes.

Step 1 - Seal Coating Objects:
Using a foam brush, apply a thin layer of Liquid Plastic to any porous object or surface to be encapsulated.
This thin layer will seal pores in the object, preventing bubbles from forming during step 2. (This step is only necessary when using porous materials.)
Allow 4-8 hours dry time before pouring Liquid Plastic.

Step 2 - The Pour:
Liquid Plastic can be poured up to 1 ¾" deep although we have poured up to 2.25" deep with the help of fans keeping the cure slow, controlled and clear. If you are pouring larger and/or thicker volumes of Liquid Plastic, we recommend using a fan to eliminate the risk of the pour from flash curing.
It will flow and self level. Note: Slightly warmed Resin will have better flow and air release properties.
We recommend keeping an eye on the pour for a few hours after to ensure that there are no leaks in your form.

Technology:
Liquid Plastic 2:1 has virtually no odour and can be used indoors without ventilation or bulky respiration equipment.
Cures rock hard
Crystal clear
UV resistant, does not yellow
High bio-content
Easy to use & low odour
100% solids
Can be poured to a thickness up to 1 ¾"
Ideal for woodworking such as river tables

Pot Time: 8 hours depending on ambient temperature
Cure Time: 72 hours depending on ambient temperature, humidity and thickness.

Crystallization:
If the resin (part A) is not clear or has slightly crystallized, put the container in a bowl of hot water at 45°C (115°F) or more for at least an hour and let cool to 21-27°C (70-80°F) before using.

Building The Form:
It is important to make sure that you build a solid form to eliminate any leaks from occurring.
We use HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) for our forms since we do multiple pours every week and the HDPE is reusable.
You can also use plywood and Form Building Tape to build a form if you don’t plan on doing more than 1 or 2 pours.
We always run a bead of silicone along the inside and outside edge of the form to insure that we don’t have any leaks.

Conference River Table

Material: Live Edge Walnut
Epoxy Colour: Bora Bora Blue
Size: 108" by 42"
Finish: Rubio Monocoat Pure 2C Oil

We custom built this conference table for a local Mississauga client. We used a pair of live edge walnut slabs to create the "river" appearance up the middle. The epoxy river was created using Ecopoxy Liquid Plastic with Bora Bora Blue Metallic Pigment. We finished this table top with Rubio Monocoat Pure 2C Oil.
